This backing was there to keep the wood safe during laser cutting and shipping. You can use it for various DIY projects, like wall decor or part of a larger craft. If you need a hole in the shape, just tell us the size and where you want it, and we'll add it for free. For different sizes, we have options from 3' up to 36'. We've cut the shape from 1/8 (3mm), 1/4 (6mm), or 1/2 (12mm) inch cabinet - grade Baltic birch plywood. If you need a different thickness, let us know. When it comes to maintenance, keep the wood away from excessive moisture to prevent warping. You can sand it more if you want a smoother finish before applying paint or other decorations.
